Google recently announced it will be investing $280 million to help finance home solar projects. This money will mainly support SolarCity which provides solar energy options for business and homeowners across America.

This is the largest (but not the 1st) investment Google have made towards clean energy which includes previous investments into a California wind farm $55 million and an additional $100 towards a wind farm in Oregon.
