Following consultation with the nuclear industry both internationally and in Australia, we are pleased to enclose for your consideration and opinion the report, Australia’s Nuclear Power Workforce 2020 – 2050.
Previous studies undertaken into nuclear power in Australia have considered the economic and environmental benefits of a nuclear power industry, including the Uranium Mining, Processing and Nuclear Energy — Opportunities for Australia? report released in 2006.
However, no analysis has been undertaken which considers the associated workforce requirements for an Australian nuclear industry. The enclosed report seeks to fill that gap by considering the workforce requirements, direct and indirect employment opportunities, education and skilling challenges by 2050 under three nuclear power scenarios.
Brown and Pang would be most interested in your comments regarding the enclosed report. Our aim is to gain international endorsement of the report in order to inform and re-energise the nuclear debate in Australia.
We appreciate your time in reading our report and look forward to your comments. Please do not hesitate to contact us at info@brownandpang.com if you require any further information.
Yours sincerely
